Name of project - Moda Praia - Sand and Sea Products - sarongs , beach bags , scarves all block printed on raw cotton Theme

The rich variety of fish, researched and painted by Rogério , all indigenous to Arraial do Cabo where he resides

Aim - to work with artisans who will create the blocks for " block printing on organic cotton " and local seamstresses to produce the collection Manufacturing - through a partnership with a local NGO or a Cooperative of seamstresses in one of the Comunidades ( Favelas ) Morro do Cantagalo, Rocinha or Maré.

Objective - the creation of a long term sustainable designer hub and income for a number of local families.

We need help with securing the funding for the project and for the teaching process of the various skills needed for the artisan production of the collection.

Marketing - Through Jacqueline Sperandio we already have a positive dialogue with a retailer for the marketing of the designs . They also have an interest in collaborating on the humanitarian aspect of our project.
